Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disorder that kills the beta cells of the pancreas. There is no cure yet and we DO need one. But overeating, a bad diet, under-exercising is no more responsible for causing type 1 than staring at the moon! A healthy lifestyle is what all of us need. As a mother of a Type 1 Diabetic, I know the evils too. My son is slowly dying and lost his childhood at age 8 with his diagnosis.
